Three people, including a husband and wife, have been arrested after Colonie police say they robbed two area businesses at gunpoint.
Gary Arrington, Jessica Arrington and Kate-Lynn Newbeck are accused of robbing the Dunkin Donuts on New Karner Road Sunday night.
Two people entered the store, armed and wearing masks. Police say they took off in a grey Honda Civic with an undisclosed amount of cash.
About 10 minutes later, officers stopped the car and arrested the three. According to police, Gary Arrington and Newbeck robbed the Dunkin Donuts, while Jessica Arrington served as the getaway driver.
Police have also tied them to last week's armed robbery at the Mobil Mart on Central Avenue. The three live together and during a search of their home, officers found two BB guns, the clothes they allegedly wore during both robberies and the money taken from Dunkin Donuts.
They're facing robbery and firearm charges. Police do not believe they're responsible for other robberies in Colonie, but they could face additional charges in Albany.
