SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The driver of a car that crashed into a home in Schenectady Thursday morning is facing DWI and reckless driving charges.
The car crashed into at least four yards, hit a home, SUV and a fire hydrant around 3:30 a.m. on Albany Street.
The driver, Joshua McMichael, was arrested by Schenectady Police but arraigned in Colonie, due to an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in court.
In June 2017 McMichael was charged with fleeing a police officer, reckless driving and possession of marijuana. Police say he drove off during a traffic stop but officers located him a short time later.
Troy Crawford lives in the home that was damaged by the car. He also owns the SUV that was flipped during the crash.
"It must have been going really fast for that little car to push my big car that way,” said Crawford.
Three people were taken to the hospital, including McMichael. One of the passengers suffered a broken arm. McMichael and the other passenger suffered minor injuries.
McMichael was taken to Albany County Jail.
