A Hudson Falls man will spend up to 15 years in jail for his role in a Moreau crash that claimed the life of a South Glens Falls teen.

Christopher Miranda was emotional as he learned his fate in Saratoga County Court Wednesday.

Miranda admitted earlier this year to losing control of his car while trying to drift on Bluebird Road at speeds over 100 miles per hour last August.

Zachery Brown, 16, was killed in the crash and a 14-year-old passenger was hurt in the crash.

Judge James Murphy said in court that Miranda chose to show off to his friends and drink and drive that day.

Miranda was sentenced 5 to 15 years for manslaughter and 2 to 6 years for vehicular assault.

The sentences will be served concurrently.
