The Houston Astros' World Series championship trophy is coming to the Capital Region this summer.
The Commissioner's Trophy, which the Astros won in seven games over the Los Angeles Dodgers last fall, will be at Joe Bruno Stadium on Aug. 3 during a Tri-City ValleyCats game. The ValleyCats are an Astros minor-league affiliate.
The ValleyCats will host the trophy on their 'Boots, BBQ and Baseball Night' event, complete with post-game fireworks.
Five former 'Cats were on the Astros' World Series roster, including series most valuable player George Springer and American League MVP Jose Altuve.
Tickets for the 2018 season go on sale March 29.
