Services will be held this weekend for Niko DiNovo.

Family, friends and people throughout the community will pay their respects at the Palace Theater in Albany from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The funeral will be held Monday morning at Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany at 9:30 a.m. A burial ceremony will immediately follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery on Central Avenue.

Niko died at Westchester Medical Center on Monday. He was fighting for his life for nearly 1 ½ years after he was critically injured in 2016 when he was the passenger in a car crash.

A GoFundMe campaign was started by a family friend to assist with funeral costs. If you'd like to donate it is called "Pray for Niko: a Hero's Homecoming."
