The Sage College community came together to remember the victims of last week's school shooting in Florida.

The vigil at the Bush Memorial Center in Troy was put on by the school's Center for Mental Health and School Safety.

That center is named after Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung, who was a Sage doctoral candidate when she was killed at Sandy Hook elementary school.

People fought back tears as they expressed their frustration with ongoing gun violence in our nation.

"I want something done, I'm sick of us gathering here over and over again saying never again,ā€ said student Isabella Skoufis. ā€œIā€™'m sick of us reading these names. I want to hear about the bills or laws being read. We don't even have to get into a debate about gun control, just someone do something."

Those in attendance also said that students shouldn't be worrying about their safety while at school.
