A fourth person has been sentenced for lying to a federal grand jury in regards to a Schenectady arson homicide investigation.
Bryan Fish, 23, was sentenced to 9 years in prison Wednesday. It will be followed by 3 years of supervised release for making false statements before a federal grand jury investigated an arson that killed 4 people back in 2013.
Fish pleaded guilty last spring that he lied under oath about the events leading up to the May 2013 fire at Hulett Street in Schenectady.
The fire claimed the lives of David Terry and three young children, severely injuring another child -- Safyre Terry.
Edward Leon, Richard Ramsey, and Jennica Duell -- the mother of the children who died -- have also been sentenced for perjury.
United States Attorney Grant Jaquith called it "one of the worst crimes in the Capital Region in recent memory." He said in part:
"The sentences reflect the horror of the underlying crime and the defendants’ disregard for the law and the innocent lives lost."
ATF special agent in charge, Ashan Benedict added in part:
"Fish and the other individuals sentenced for lying to a federal grand jury will not prevent us from determining who was responsible for this heinous crime."
Going forward the ATF says there is a reward of up to $40,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the Hulett Street arson.
