There are more than 20 million human trafficking victims worldwide, and National human Trafficking Awareness Day, held Thursday, puts the spotlight on recognizing risk factors and learning how you can help.

People were encouraged to wear blue to help raise awareness.

Trafficking victims can be any age, race, gender or nationality, and children are especially at risk, especially since human traffickers are turning to computers and chat rooms to lure victims.

There are many services available locally. Here are some organizations around the area that can help.
