Funeral arrangements have been announced for Trooper Michael Anson.

Anson died last week from a 9/11-related illness. The New York State Police say he assisted with search and recovery efforts in lower Manhattan following the attacks.

Calling hours will be held at the Siena College ARC Monday, January 8 from 4 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. 

Anson was a Capital Region native who had a number of assignments in the area, including school resource officer in Averill Park and Brunswick.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
