ALBANY, N.Y. — Some students from the Wildwood School are giving back to the community, all while learning life skills.

At Schott's Boxing in Albany, the "undisputed champions program" teaches both boxing and life lessons to teens with autism and other disabilities.

The unique non-contact boxing strives for safety, but that doesn't take away from the overall workout.

Thursday, they earned their "Champion" title, while also raising money to fight cancer.

The Founder of the program says this program is all about letting these teens know they can do more than what's expected of them.

"We have them push. They push through what they think they can do what their parents think they can do what their teachers think they can do and they really get excited about it," said Tom Schrek, Wildwood director of communications. "They get excited about and pushing hard so when I see that when I see somebody crash through what somebody used to see as a limit, it doesn't get any better than that."

The group donated their 1,000-punch challenge to people fighting cancer, raising more than $2,200 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
