It's been less than a week since New Yorkers headed to the polls, but they aren't wasting any time in Columbia County. Jaclyn Cangro has more on how Democrats are already looking toward 2018.

HUDSON, N.Y. -- Looking at Sunday's Democratic forum held at Hudson Intermediate School, it was hard to tell the 2018 election is so far away. The room was packed as six candidates for congress discussed their plans to represent the county.

The six candidates looking to unseat Republican Congressman John Faso include Jeff Beals, David Clegg, Antonio Delgado, Brian Flynn, Gareth Rhodes, and Pat Ryan.

The GOP tax proposal was among topics discussed. Faso has not formally come out for or against the plan while each Democrat spoke against it.

Following the forum, people had the chance to speak to the candidates one on one.

The county has been represented by a Republican since 2011. Faso has been office since 2016.
