As renovations at the Times Union Center continue, officials unveiled the latest addition to the arena Monday. They showcased two large LED screens on the outside of the building. They'll be used to show highlights from sporting events, advertisements and various information.

It's been more than a year now that crews broke ground on the renovation project, and we're told that construction will wrap in just two weeks. This is part of a $19.6 million renovation project. Other work has included enclosing the arena's front atrium, and adding a new lobby and pre-event space.

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy says this project is helping to transform not only the city, but the Capital Region as a whole.

We're also waiting on another major announcement in regards to the Times Union Center. Officials are expected to make an update on the future of Arena League football Tuesday. If that deal is finalized, the team would play at the T-U Center.
