While Mayor Bill de Blasio may love the Boston Red Sox, he and the mayor of Houston are embroiled in a wager over the fate of the American League Championship Series.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner started a friendly wager with de Blasio on Friday before the first game of the series.

If the Houston Astros win the pennant, the city will send Houston a case of beer from the Bronx Brewery and a dozen cannolis.

But if the Yankees win, Turner will send New York a case of beer from a Houston brewery and a dozen kolaches.

The Astros lead the best-of-seven ALCS against the Yankees 1-0, with the teams facing off Saturday.

This is not the first time de Blasio has made a wager on New York playoff games with another mayor.

In 2015 when the Mets lost the World Series to the Kansas City Royals, de Blasio had to sing the song "Kansas City" in a Royals jersey at a New York school.

And when de Blasio lost a bet with Green Bay Jim Schmitt in January after the Giants lost to the Packers in the playoffs, de Blasio sent Schmitt bagels and cheesecake.

He also sent building supplies to repair a hole that Giants' wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. punched in a wall of the visitors' locker room after the loss.

De Blasio has not yet been to Yankee Stadium as mayor.
