SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: A Herkimer County organization is hoping to improve quality of life by bringing a community center to the region.
Earlier this summer, Herkimer County HealthNet was awarded a nearly $20,000 grant by the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties. That money will be used to complete an assessment, which will gauge the community's interest in the project.
Organizers say the community center would include senior citizen and youth programs, which they say are currently lacking in Herkimer County.
