A woman and her young daughter are dead, and a 21-year-old man is in custody, charged with murder.

According to Glens Falls Police, officers received a call from a woman who found her adult daughter dead in a South Street home at 10:30 a.m. Police soon learned it was a double homicide.

Just 90 minutes later, police say they found and arrested Bryan Redden. He was found in a car on Bay Street, a short distance from the crime scene. According to police, Redden and the female victim knew each other, but police have not yet said how they are acquainted.

Authorities have also not released the names nor the ages of the victims.

Due to the severity of the charges, no bail was set. Redden, who pleaded not guilty, was sent to the Warren County Jail. He's due back in court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
