A suspended Albany Police officer is expected to face criminal charges.

According to Albany Police Chief Robert Sears, the unidentified officer will face charges for the hit-and-run crash on May 4 at the intersection of West Lawrence Street and Myrtle Avenue. The officer was off duty at the time of the crash. Police said no one was injured.

The charges are currently unknown.

Also, in an unrelated case, two unidentified officers are expected to face internal discipline for their involvement in a large fight inside Junior's Bar and Grille on January 29. It is unknown what discipline they will face.
