SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: At Albany High School and around the Capital Region, Erin Lippett put up red donation boxes as part of a service project to obtain her international baccalaureate diploma. The high school junior is donating the items to the The Food Pantries for the Capital District, but inside the boxes are items you might not think are needed. The 16-year-old is asking people to donate feminine hygiene products. Erin is happy with the amount of donations, but hopes this starts a conversation. In two weeks she's hosting a public meeting to talk about this issue at Albany High School. The event is April 12 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Model UN room.
