TROY, N.Y. -- A man has died following a shooting in Troy Thursday morning, and police say they're still looking for the two shooters.

It happened at 6th Avenue and Jefferson Street around 9 a.m. Investigators say the victim was in a taxi, and got into some kind of altercation with the two other men, who shot him.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for surgery, and later died, according to Troy Police Captain Dan DeWolf.

Police are now looking for two men.

“From what we know so far, the cab was called for him, for the victim. He was going to get in the cab and engaged in some kind of an argument with two other males that shot at him, hit him. They took off southbound on 6th Avenue here, and he made it back to the cab, and that’s where he was retrieved by medics,” DeWolf said.

Police say several neighbors provided them with video of this altercation, which they say has been helpful in their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Troy police.
