TROY, N.Y. -- A Troy police officer arrested over the weekend on DWI charges appeared in court.

Kevin McKenna pleaded not guilty to DWI and other charges in Colonie Town Court Monday night.

McKenna was taken into custody by Colonie police Saturday after they say he hit a patrol car that was parked for a traffic stop.

They say he kept driving and ultimately was taken to the police department after refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

McKenna is expected to be back in court in April.
