Albany's Board of Education has come out in opposition of education secretary nominee Betsy DeVos.
The board says she's not fit for the position, passing a resolution Monday night outlining their reasons.
They join many other school districts in the state which have passed similar resolutions.
Critics say DeVos is a wealthy Republican donor and accuse her of buying politicians.
She's also a known charter school advocate and proponent of expanding school choice programs, and has no public school experience which has prompted pushback from teachers unions.
