A man has been arrested and arraigned in connection with the shooting that occurred Saturday at Crossgates Mall.

The man in custody, 20-year-old Tasheem Maewether of Albany, was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court Monday evening. He developed as a suspect through video surveillance, according to police, and was picked out of a lineup by eyewitnesses.

Maewether is being charged with reckless endangerment, a Class D felony, and possession of a weapon, a Class C felony. He was found Monday leaving a car wash in Albany and taken into custody. There was surveillance on his apartment since he was identified as a suspect Saturday night.
