ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- History lovers dashed through the city of Albany Saturday for Albany Public Library's History Race.

Like the Amazing Race, teams competed to find several historic landmarks, after being given clues.

This year was the third year for the event, and those who put it together say it was the largest turnout yet.

"It's really to bring local history alive and to get people to engage with their city and specifically this year it's to identify key sites in the city of Albany that are really in need of saving and repair," volunteer Leah LaFera said.

Albany History Race is organized by the Albany Public Library and the Historic Albany Foundation.
