A massive protest is planned for this weekend in Albany over so-called bomb trains. It's expected to draw protesters from all over the northeast.

The group calls itself 'Break Free From Fossil Fuels' and it's hosting a protest in Albany Saturday at noon. The group says thousands of people from across the northeast will meet at Lincoln Park and will proceed over to the Port of Albany where they will 'physically stop a bomb train.'

This is part of a week-long effort across the entire world aimed at halting fossil fuel infrastructure and trying to call attention to renewable energy sources.

Many people in Albany have raised concerns over so called bomb trains and their proximity to residential neighborhoods. It's something the county executive has tried to take up as well.
