SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Schenectady man accused of hitting three people with a stolen car Thursday in an effort to break up a fight pleads not guilty to multiple charges.
Victor Thompson, 21, has been charged with assault, grand larceny, and reckless endangerment. They say Thompson's friend and another man were in a fight, when Thompson tried to end it by hitting one of them with his car.
He ended up hitting them both, along with a woman who was standing nearby. She's in the hospital being treated for a serious head injury. The others were not seriously hurt.
After hitting the three victims, police say the car went through two different fences, eventually hitting a home on Chestnut Street.
Police say Thompson then got out of the car and ran off. He'll face a grand jury on Tuesday.
