Investigators headed back to Washington Park Wednesday morning, hoping to find the weapon used in the killing of a 32-year-old hair stylist in Colonie. It comes less than 24 hours after two men were charged with her death. Barry Wygel has more from Washington Park.

COLONIE, N.Y. -- Colonie police arrested two men in connection with the death of Jacquelyn Porreca.

The 32-year old was stabbed in the neck while working at the Recycled Salon on Sand Creek Road on Aug. 21.

Sean Moreland and Michael Chmielewski are both charged with felony murder and robbery. Chmielewski also faced an additional charge of first-degree murder.

Police say the pair drove to the Recycled Salon in Moreland’s car then Chmielewski went into the building, robbed Porreca and stabbed her.

Officials estimate between $500 and $800 was stolen and that the robbery was drive by Moreland and Chmielewski’s heroin addictions.

Police say Moreland was pulled over for speeding last week and police found heroin in his possession.

It was during their conversations with him that they were able to connect him to the stabbing.
