SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: The New York State Sheriffs' Association wants lawmakers to approve funding for having at least one armed resource officer in schools. A downstate senator has previously pushed for NYPD officers in New York City schools, but it was deemed too expensive. And Governor Andrew Cuomo has called the idea of having armed personnel in schools unrealistic.
