For Jerry Flynn, the holidays are about food and family.

"Have a family, a place of love," he said. "It just means everything to me since the day I left Vietnam, and that was back in July 1960."

But it can be so expensive to put a meal on the table for Thanksgiving. Some families spend hundreds to make sure they have a turkey and all the fixin's.

Law firm Tully Rinckey donated hundreds of turkeys this week to help our heroes this holiday season. They say, it's about giving back to people who, along with their families, give so much to our country.

"This hopefully will put a dent and make it so every vet can have a turkey in the Capital Region," said Matthew Tully with Tully Rinckey.

"I appreciate being appreciated and the turkey adds more appreciation," said veteran Robert Sprague.
