The man at the center of the "Raise the Age" debate once again finds himself facing charges for third time this year.

The latest charges for 20-year-old Marquis Dixon come after police say he used a fake $20 bill at a gas station in Glenmont. He is charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.

Dixon has already pleaded guilty earlier this year for a separate incident where he used a fake $20. He was also arrested in the summer for allegedly pointing a steak knife at his mother and telling her "I will kill you."

Dixon made headlines after he was sentenced to nine years begind bars in 2014 after being found guilty of stealing a pair of sneakers and showing a gun. That was eventually overturned after the appeals court ruled Dixon should have been tried as a youthful offender.

On his latest charges, Dixon is due back in court Friday.
