The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man is shot in Stockport over the weekend, and a man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

It happened shortly after 5:30 Sunday at a home on Pats Lane. Investigators say Billy Johnson was taken to Albany Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery. He is currently in stable condition, according to the sheriff's office.

Johnson's 23-year-old son, Timothy, was found by sheriff's deputies outside the house, and they said he made statements indicating he was responsible for the shooting. Timothy Johnson was arrested and charged with first degree reckless endangerment. He was arraigned and jailed on $15,000 bail or $30,000 bond.
