More legal trouble for Gloversville Mayor Dayton King, as he has been arrested by state police, facing official misconduct charges.

King is accused of using the City of Gloversville postage meter for business outside of government or city needs. State police say King also falsified the ledger that goes along with that postage meter.

He is charged with falsifying business records, officials misconduct and petit larceny. He is set to appear in City of Gloversville court Monday.

This is not the first charge against King. Last year, he allegedly used his position as mayor to get personnel information about his mayoral opponent, William Rowback. King released that information on the radio during a debate.

He accepted a plea agreement in that case and stayed on as mayor.
