The third suspect in a deadly stabbing that occurred last week has been apprehended. Jason Sefton, 20, turned himself into the police Monday morning, following a warrant for his arrest.

Last week, Bruce Romano, 28, and Anthony Boone, 22, pleaded not guilty to one count each of murder in connection with the stabbing death of 34-year-old William Catalano.

Romano and Boone will appear in court November 16, and Sefton, who was arraigned and sent to Berkshire County Jail, is also due in court next month.

Police say they got a call to 219 Robbins Avenue for a fight involving multiple people, where they found Catalano with multiple stab wounds. He was later pronounced dead at Berkshire Medical Center. Police say Sefton, Boone and Romano are responsible.

Additionally, police have arrested 34-year-old Shane Smith, who was arraigned Tuesday morning and pleaded not guilty to providing misleading information to a police officer.

Sim's Barbershop owner Steve Vilot says Catalano — who worked at Sim's — may have been cutting someone's hair in a housecall moments before his death.

Smith will be back in court Nov. 15. He is currently not considered a murder suspect.

Anyone with information or anyone who witnessed the attack is asked to contact police.
