ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 20-year-old man shot and killed in Albany's most recent homicide was a former student at Albany High School.
Officers arriving on Livingston Avenue around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday found 20-year-old Equan Fallen of Albany shot outside a residence on the 400 block. Fallen was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Chief Robert Sears says there was some kind of altercation. Police say no one else was hurt and it appears to be an isolated incident. No one was immediately taken into custody.
Tuesday night's death was the fourth homicide in Albany this year, and the third that is unsolved at this point.
A vigil was expected sometime Wednesday evening.
