Sexual abuse charges have been levied against a teacher's aide and coach in the Coxsackie-Athens Central School District.

Vincenzo Multari, 45, was arrested by police at the school Wednesday. He's facing several charges, including endangering the welfare of a child, forcible touching and sexual abuse.

Right now, there's no word on where these alleged incidents took place.

According to the district superintendent, Multari was a teacher's aide, junior varsity wrestling coach and a volunteer baseball coach at the high school. He's been working at the school since September 2015.

The superintendent says all the proper screening and background checks were done.

The school district has placed Multari on paid administrative leave.

Multari was arraigned in Coxsackie Town Court and sent to the Greene County jail on $2,500 cash bail.
