Johnny Oquendo's murder sentencing has been delayed for a third time since being convicted of murder last November.

After three weeks of testimony and months of delay, Oquendo has still not been sentenced for murdering his stepdaughter Noel Alkaramla in 2015.

Thursday’s court appearance began with Oquendo asking to represent himself during sentencing, which has been granted. Now in charge of his own defense, Oquendo argued to adjourn court for the day, citing a lack of time to review the pre-sentence investigation report. That was ultimately granted.

Sentencing has now been pushed to Monday at 10 a.m. He faces 25 years to life in prison. His former wife and Alkaramla's mother, Debra Napoli, is expected to give a victim impact statement once court resumes Monday.
