ALBANY, N.Y. -- A vacant building on Third Street in Albany caught fire just before 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters faced thick smoke and flames on the second floor. From the inside, firefighters kept the fire from fully spreading to the adjacent building, which took on minor damage.

The structure was abandoned for about a year, but there were reports of squatters in the building since.

No one was injured and fire investigators are working to determine a cause.
