Two friends of the man convicted in the death of an 8-year-old girl on Lake George last summer were sentenced Thursday in Lake George Town Court for their roles in helping to cover up the crime.

Kristine Tiger and Matthew Marry both received 45-day sentences as well as three years of probation after they pleaded guilty last month to hindering prosecution charges, admitting to helping Alex West evade police and not calling 911 after the crash.

Alex West was convicted of manslaughter and other charges last summer for causing the boat crash that killed 8-year-old Charlotte McCue of California. McCue died after West crashed his boat into her grandparent’s boat on Log Bay Day in 2016.

West was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison.
