October 10 is Stem Cell Awareness day, and researchers here in New York are highlighting progress they have made on fighting diseases like Alzheimers and cancer. They are also drawing attention to the fact that most of these projects are supported by the state since federal funding is limited. Joining us from New York City to talk more about that are Jo Wiederhorn, the president of the Associated Medical Schools of New York, and Dr. Todd Evans, a professor at Wiell Cornell.
