Former Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner is on her way to officially securing a spot on the ballot in the governor's race as the Serve America Party candidate.
She filed nearly 41,000 signatures from supporters throughout the state, surpassing the minimum amount of 15,000 needed by candidates filing on an independent line.
A late entry to the race, Miner's campaign could pose vote splitting issues for the Cuomo, not to mention her own scathing criticisms of the Governor.
