When Governor Cuomo started giving pardons to felons this spring to restore their right to vote, Senate Republicans immediately cried foul.

Since April, over 24,000 parolees have received these pardons, but around 125 have already lost that right again, after either violating parole or committing new crimes.

The GOP conference plans to hold hearings on this and other parole related issues.

Senator Pat Gallivan, chair of the Corrections Committee, will preside over the hearings.
