Immigrants arrested by federal agents in other parts of the country are being sent to Albany, and housed in the Albany County jail.

200 people have arrived over the past week.

Federal officials say they are accused of low-level offenses, a category that includes entering the country illegally.

But they are not being held with the general population at the jail- and now the county is trying to help them get legal representation.
