There's no final decision yet on whether the state labor department will end the minimum wage tip credit, and require restaurants pay workers minimum wage.

But as the department holds public hearings on the issue, supporters and opponents are speaking out, with restaurant owners warning it could lead to higher prices.

Others say it would provide workers more financial stability and protect them from abuse.
