After winning a highly contested special election for the Assembly seat in the 102nd district, Republican Chris Tague settled into the legislature last week. He grew up working on a dairy farm and was general manager at Cobleskill Stone Products, a family-owned small business. Tague served as Schoharie Town Supervisor, and also worked part time in the office of former Assemblyman, now Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin. He fills the seat vacated by Greene County Republican Pete Lopez, following his administrative appointment to the EPA last fall. We spoke with Tague earlier this week.
