The state legislature will lose one of its most senior members when Hudson Valley Senator Bill Larkin retires at the end of the year. A World War II and Korean War veteran himself, he is known for his advocacy for veterans and especially purple heart recipients. But he says public office is about representing more than just one group of people. We sat down with the senator to talk about his career and the race to replace him.
