With the balance of power in the state Senate once again expected to be a battle this year, outside groups are starting to get involved. If the chamber flips to the Democrats, it would mean some bills that are currently not making it to the floor would be put up for a vote. And that likely includes a measure to update New York's abortion law in case the Supreme Court ever overturns Roe v Wade. But right now, it is unclear if every registered Democrat in the Senate would vote yes. So Eleanor's Legacy has launched the Baker Project to get more pro-choice Democratic women into the chamber. Joining us to talk more about that is the group's president, Brette McSweeney.
