The death of an autistic 14 year old in Rochester has lawmakers looking for new ways to keep students safe. Treyvan Rowe took the bus to school one morning, but then walked away instead of going to class, and eventually ended up in the Genesee River. The Rochester City School District and the police department are still trying to figure out exactly what happened. But Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara says many autistic kids do have a habit of wandering away, so he wants to make it easier for them to be included in Project Lifesaver. The program gives people a bracelet that can be activated by law enforcement and basically serve as a tracking device. The assemblyman joins us to talk more about his call for increasing funding for Project Lifesaver.
