The young unemployment rate in New York is more than double the overall unemployment rate in the state. So Governor Cuomo is looking to form a new Office of Workforce Development and is proposing $175 million be included in this budget. This has also spurred the creation of the "Invest in Skills New York" campaign, to put pressure on the governor and legislature to make workforce development a priority this session.
