A new report from the New York State Association of School Business Officials says the number of students living in poverty is increasing. And, they're seeing a direct correlation between socioeconomic status and test scores. Outside of New York City, the Mohawk Valley has the highest poverty rates and lowest ELA and Math proficiency scores.
