Thursday, the Public Service Commission approved the sale of the Fitzpatrick nuclear power plant in Oswego County. The plant is being taken over by Exelon, which operates two other upstate plants. And the sale depended on the state including nuclear in the Clean Energy Standard, making the plants eligible for tax breaks. But soem argue that will lead to higher energy bills for New Yorkers.
