We Rock the Spectrum opened in September. It is quickly becoming a favorite place to play for children on the autism spectrum and kids who aren’t. Franchise owner Eva Millard is a former school occupational therapist.

“I am not a business person by any means. I am an occupational therapist that loves working with children and wants to improve their daily life and for them to have fun,” said Millard.

There are 10 pieces of equipment, all designed to help with strength, movement and sensory processing.

“The equipment is also perfect for children of all abilities, children of all ages,” said Millard.

As a school OT, parents of children with special needs often told Eva they felt like they had nowhere to take their children to play. Eventually, she left her job and opened the indoor playground. It is ideal for children on the autism spectrum and open to all.

“I am a single mom. I have beautiful daughter named Emilia, and she is five-and-a-half," Millard said. "She goes to kindergarten and just being like -- 'yeah, OK, we’ll we’re going to do this and it is going to be amazing, but it is going to be challenging for the first couple years,' " Millard said.

Eva offers yoga and meditation classes as well as private OT sessions. We Rock the Spectrum is open seven days a week.
