Following a beautiful first day of fall with highs from the mid 60s near to 70 degrees, another quiet night is on tap with mainly clear skies and lows ranging from the 40s to around 50 with areas of fog. Comfortable weather sticks around Monday with increasing clouds and warmer highs reaching the low 70s. Some rain may make it into the Southern Tier by late day or evening, ramping up to waves of moderate to maybe heavy rain and showers area wide later Monday night, becoming intermittent during Tuesday when highs should reach the mid and upper 70s. The risk of showers and maybe a thunderstorm will linger into the first part of Wednesday with humidity and highs around 70, becoming windy and cooler later in the day. Thursday and Friday look mainly dry with seasonable highs in the mid and upper 60s and just a chance of showers on Friday.
